EZ360 vehicle photo crop tool

The new photo crop and cut feature in iContent gives you more control over your images. Now you have a quick way to improve the photo presentation of each of your cars. It is very simple to use.

Crop to remove whitespace

For exterior shots you eliminate excess background so your cars will fill the frame. For interior shots you can crop to more clearly show specific features.

Cut details to make new pictures

Select an area and click to create a detail image. The new picture is added to your photo gallery and appears on your website instantly.

Crop exterior spin pics

For dealers using a vehicle turntable, the crop tool allows you to crop each exterior spin image and automatically replace them in the display section.

 

 

How to crop a photo

Step 1: In the vehicle editor, double-click on a picture to open the cropping tool. A floating selection area window appears above your photo.

Step 2: Click and drag the selection area to move it to your desired position. Adjust the size of the selection by extending the corners. The selection tool shape is locked to a predefined rectangle. Remember to leave enough space below the vehicle if you intend to to apply the banner.

Step 3: Click on the eye icon to see the result. Use the undo button to step backward in your series of adjustments. The redo button steps forward.

Step 4: Click "Crop" when finished.

If the image you double-clicked was in the "display pictures" section, your newly cropped image will replace the selected image.

The cropped image will be saved in its respective "Image Sources" folder at the bottom of the vehicle photo editor. The uncropped source image remains in the "Image Sources" folder where it originated. If the image your cropped was previously bannered, the new cropped image will save into the "Third Party Photos" folder.

Step 5: Click "Done" to save these changes. The updated display pictures gallery as it will appear on your website.

 

 

How to make a detail photo (cut)

Step 1: In the vehicle editor, double-click on a picture to open the cropping tool. A floating selection area window appears above your photo.

Step 4: Click "Save as new" when finished.

If the image you double-clicked was in the "display pictures" section, your new detail picture will appear at the end of the display pictures gallery. You can drag the new photo to change the order where it appears in the gallery.

The new cut image will be saved in its respective "Image Sources" folder at the bottom of the vehicle photo editor. The uncropped source image remains in the "Image Sources" folder where it originated. If the image from which you cut the new picture was previously bannered, the new image will save into the "Third Party Photos" folder.

Step 5: Click "Done" to save these changes. The updated display pictures gallery as it will appear on your website.

 

 

How to crop spin details pictures (vehicles on turntable)

Step 1: In the vehicle editor, click the "Crop Spin Details pics" button near the upper-right corner. All your spin details pictures will display, each with tool buttons above and a floating selection area over the photo.

Step 2: Click and drag the selection area to move it to your desired position. Adjust the size of the selection by extending the corners. The selection tool shape is locked to a predefined rectangle. Remember to leave enough space below the vehicle if you intend to to apply the banner.

Step 3: For each picture you want to crop, click on the eye icon to see the result. Only pictures with the eye icon clicked will be cropped. Use the undo button to step backward in your series of adjustments. The redo button steps forward.

Step 4: Click "Done" when finished.

Your cropped pictures will update in the display pictures gallery. Also, these new pictures will save into the Spin details folder. The uncropped original images remain in the Spin details folder where they originated.

You will be asked if you want to save the crop points for use as a template. A future release crops will be applied automatically based on these templates.

Step 5: Click "Done" to save these changes to the display pictures. The updated gallery will appear instantly on your website.
