We are busy building mockups of ideas for our new MediaLayer. Sketching new icons and user interface tools are just part of the adventure of re-imagining how the vehicle media player would function. Car dealers are going to love this and car buyers will find it engaging.
Our current MediaLayer has 4 viewing modes: photo gallery, interior 360˚ panorama, exterior spin and a vehicle video. (Some of our clients also have a dealership infomercial video).
In our new player we want to simplify the way car shoppers view vehicle photos and rich media. Interior and exterior images will be part of the “spin” player. With this method, photographers would shoot vehicle pictures in a left-to-right or right-to-left sequence. The player will also allow consumers to swipe or drag across the images to advance through them.
The breakthrough for our new MediaLayer will be the addition of vehicle “Points of Interest”. Car dealers will be able to place hotspots on every photo to indicate where consumers can click to view detail content.
We just have paper sketches for now, but this is the next step on the way to help car dealers better market and sell vehicles online.
